Post Secondary Student Support Program

The objective of the Post Secondary Student Support Programs is to assist members of the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation to gain access to post-secondary education and graduate with qualifications and skills needed to pursue individual careers and to contribute to the achievement of First Nation self-government and economic self-reliance.

All registered members of the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation, having obtained a Grade Twelve diploma, an Adult Basic Education Twelve diploma or a grade Twelve General Equivalency diploma , and wanting to continue their education in a full-time post-secondary program of study, may apply for financial assistance through the Post Secondary Student Support Program.

Support will be provided within the limits of funds provided by Northern Indian Affairs Canada Comprehensive Funding Arrangements. If support for the number of eligible applicants exceeds the budget, applications will be reviewed according to the chronological order of Approval of Applications as set out in the Post Secondary Student Support Program Policy and Procedure Manual. The Procedure Manual and application may be picked up at the office.
